This cover/lid allows sea moss to be stored properly, preserving its shelf life permitting the moss to breath. Sea moss is a living breathing organism, the lid prevents it from going rancid / spoiling, which creates an odor and bad taste. The lid sits perfectly on top of the jar, does NOT twist, grab the jar from the bottom when it picking up.
